Says Andy, I did not paint the barn because it is well known; but because to me it represents a landmark in time. I chose to paint the barn in a more stately manner the way it once was. I painted a field, leaving out the housing development which now covers its grounds. And to show signs of "progress" the missing top of the silo and a hint of a major highway off to the left. And then the misting of fog... as though a fading memory... soon to be forgotten.
